Last year Google made several strides in perfecting their algorithms to yield even better results for their users. Google works hard to weed out low quality content and websites that feature spam. In fact, Google changes its algorithm between 500-600 times annually. Most of these changes are minor, but the results are substantial.
While Google does its fair share in penalizing sites for less than mediocre content, it also rewards sites for following SEO best practices, fast website loading times and responsive design.
Judging by the algorithm rollout below, it looks like Google will continue in the way of providing instant answers with interactive tools. Google will pull rank results based on a large number of user searches.
