Simplify Social Media Monitoring with the Google My Business App

The saying, “out of sight, out of mind,” comes to life all too often after setting up an online profile for your business. However, if you’re a smartphone user, it’s now easier than ever to ensure your profiles are actively engaging your consumers. Certain review sites have created apps for business owners to monitor their profiles 24/7.

One example of this is the Google My Business app. It allows you to update your business’s profile without ever turning on your computer.

Let’s take a tour of the app and see if it’s the key to better monitoring your Google My Business profile.

As you scroll through the app, you’ll notice all the same features you’ve seen on your desktop. You can check out insights, read and respond to reviews and upload photos. Google will automatically send notifications to your phone when you receive a review. Replying to reviews in real-time, rather than waiting until you can reach a computer reassures reviewers you care.

For a more organized view, swipe right to see the side bar navigation menu. Here’s where you will notice additional options for editing managers of the account and a quick link to help and support.

Need to claim another business location? The app does that too. Just click the down arrow on the side-bar menu to begin the process.

Other review sites such as Yelp and Facebook have apps like this as well. Download the apps and see if they’re the right fit for your social media routine.
