Meet Our Summer Intern

We are excited to introduce the newest addition to our team!  Alex Dunlap will be joining us for the summer as an intern from HCA’s Summer Work Experience program. This will be his third summer participating in the program. Alex is currently attending the University of Tennessee and will be a Junior in the fall. He is majoring in graphic design and is interested in illustration and concept art. He finds joy in telling stories through design and illustration as well as writing. Aside from design, Alex also enjoys playing the trumpet in the Pride of the Southland Marching Band at UT and hopes to continue pursuing his musical career after college.

When I’m not working, I enjoy drawing, going to concerts and festivals, playing video games and spending time with my family.

My dream job is to be a Disney Imagineer. The thing I love most about art and design is seeing someone smile when they view my work. Getting a job in the entertainment industry would allow me to do exactly that, and it’s been my dream to work for Disney since I was a child.

My favorite book is It’s Kind of a Cute Story, by Imagineer and Disney Legend Rolly Crump. In it, he tells stories of his experiences working with WED Enterprises and Walt Disney himself. He is truly inspiring and one of my role models.

My favorite social media site is Tumblr. It is a wonderful, diverse community where I can find humor, art and inspiration.

Something you may not know about me is that I play tennis. I don’t play competitively, but I took lessons in middle school I still continue to play with my brothers and friends in my spare time.

My favorite city is Washington D.C. It’s such a beautiful place and I’ve always had a soft spot for history and politics.
