The Magic Facebook Number

Never has the saying “short and sweet” been more evident than in a new study conducted by social media strategist Jeff Bullas. According to Jeff, posts between 1 and 40 characters receive the highest level of engagement (“like” rate and comment rate). Interestingly enough, only 5% of all posts surveyed actually met this criteria. Coming in second place in terms of engagement were posts with 80 characters or less, which received 66% higher engagement.

Remember: Keep your Facebook posts short and to-the-point. You have mere seconds to catch your audience’s eye. Don’t make them work too hard to get to the point of your post.
