Google+ Local is making some important site updates, and they need your help.
Part of our responsibilities as the HCAPS Social Media Team is to keep you updated with the latest changes that directly affect your practice’s online profiles.
According to Search Engine Watch, here’s how you can show Google a little love this February and protect your Google+ Local profiles while they are updating their site:
Check your practice Gmail
If you receive the message pictured below, follow the instructions to log in to your Google+ Local account, review and update your information and click Submit. While this step is not required for every user, if you do not confirm the information in your account by February 21, 2014, Google will remove your listing.
The email subject line will be Action Required: You have 3 weeks to save your Google Places Listing.
Other Exciting Changes
After Google’s update, users will be able to completely update their listing and see the changes before they complete the verification process. This means, you won’t have to wait to receive your PIN verification before you can make changes to your business listing. Your changes will not be shown on Google, however, before you complete the verification process.
