Google+ Local’s Updated Look

A couple of weeks ago, Google+ Local started the rollout of their new and updated look. It will slowly trickle down to users who already have a listing.

So what’s new?

For starters, the new dashboard is stripped down and simple. This will be much easier for users to claim and edit their listings.  Also, the widget allowing you to see the percentage of profile completeness is more accommodating than the older one. Edits made in the new interface should go live within 48 hours, which is a vast improvement from the old dashboard.

The new interface has removed the following sections:

  • Service areas and location settings
  • Payment options
  • Additional details

If you are a previous Google+ Local user, sit back and wait. You should receive an email notifying you of the change, and then you will be able to access the new and improved interface.
